{"id":1934,"date":"2020-11-25T12:10:19","date_gmt":"2020-11-25T11:10:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rosa-hilfe.de\/?page_id=1934"},"modified":"2020-11-25T12:25:50","modified_gmt":"2020-11-25T11:25:50","slug":"diskriminierung","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/www2.rosa-hilfe.de\/en\/queer-life\/diskriminierung\/","title":{"rendered":"Discrimination"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>According to a survey by the EU Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA)<sup>1<\/sup>, almost one in three LGBTI+ people in Germany suffer discrimination in the workplace &#8211; one in five LGBTI+ people in social services\/health care and one in six at school\/university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation can occur at a &#8220;small&#8221; scale, for example through obscene jokes or insults. In general, discrimination and violence against LGBTI+ people can take place in a variety of ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>insult (e.g. &#8220;fucking gay&#8221;, cyberbullying)<\/li><li>Physical injury (physical violence against oneself)<\/li><li>Threat (e.g. &#8220;I&#8217;ll find out where you live and beat you to death tranny&#8221;)<\/li><li>Blackmail (e.g. &#8220;Give me money or I&#8217;ll out you&#8221;)<\/li><li>Sexual assault (obscene jokes or sexual insinuations in the workplace)<\/li><li>Slander (denunciation to defame critics, forced outing)<\/li><li>Damage to property (e.g. &#8220;faggot&#8221; scratched on the bonnet)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u201cRosa Hilfe\u201d is there for you if you have been a victim of discrimination\/violence. This also includes everyday discrimination which you might consider &#8220;normal&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also take action and report to the police or the public prosecutor.
